Virtuell is a visualisation studio operating at the intersection of architecture, image and art direction. We approach images as editorial and cultural devices, capable of producing meaning and identity.

01 Info

Virtuell is a Paris-based visualisation studio specialising in the representation of architectural projects and objects, and in the definition of art direction and cultural strategies.

We provide art direction for competition imagery and architectural publications, developing coherent visual narratives across multiple views and formats, with particular attention to consistency of light, framing and material expression.

Each commission includes up to three rounds of feedback per image, and test prints on a professional photographic printer for precise colour calibration. On-site shoots use Hasselblad X2D and Canon R5 Mark II on a tripod.

02 Office

Since 2026 the studio has been based in eastern Paris, in the former atelier of the sculptor Pierre Vaudrey, close to Père-Lachaise.

The space works as a studio, a small gallery and an archive: models, books, prints and unfinished projects coexist. Visits by appointment.

03 Ethics

An image can be beautiful, but it must also remain honest. It should support the project without betraying it.

Licensed professional tools, respect for copyright, clear project conditions, no disguised employment, fair pay for every collaboration.

04 Method

Each project starts from references. We carefully analyse those of our clients, while also proposing our own visual concepts, in order to define the mood of the images and their integration within the surrounding context.

We combine architectural expertise with a strong sensitivity to architectural photography. An image results from decisions of framing, light, materiality, atmosphere, composition, staging and post-production: we work with light, materials, context, uses and atmosphere as tools of understanding, not as decorative effects.

The atelier is a place where images are slowly constructed, discussed and questioned. Alongside commissions, we develop research, photographic studies and experiments, and we follow closely the visual languages of competitions, unbuilt projects and speculative architectures.

05 Undisclosed

Pages marked Undisclosed are personal projects: studies the studio produces on its own, without a client. They are made with the same camera, the same light and the same rounds of correction as every other image in this book.
